Subdivision Survey

A Subdivision Survey is the division of a parcel of land into two or more separate parcels. This process begins with a boundary survey of the perimeter of the existing parcel, then new boundary lines and acreages can be calculated within the existing parcel. Once the town, city and state has approved the subdivision, boundary markers can be set at the new lot corners and a mylar (a durable matte film good for archiving drawings) can be plotted and recorded in the town or city clerks’ office.
